I recommend reading the chapter Galatians 5 to your children as they cut and paste the apples onto the tree. Children focus so well while they are busy with their sweet little hands. I like to have the children interact with me while doing worksheets. let the kids take turns explaining what they think each characteristic of the spirit means. although we are parents “and know everything” take some time to look up synonyms of each word so you can describe the word in a way children might understand better.
Questions to ask
- Can you think of a time you were walking I the spirit?
- Why do you think God likes these characteristics?
- What are the opposites of the fruit of the spirit?
